Unbelievable Stuff!

It's an amazing feeling to watch a moment that would be replayed time and again in days to come as one of the Golden Moments of Indian Cricket unfold in front of your eyes on television. Television commentary of the first Pakistani wicket by Pathan could be heard just as I was getting in to the shower. Retracted my steps and perched myself next to one of cricket's greatest fans, my dad, to see India do very well for a Pak Score of 0/1. At the fall of the next wicket we were very glad to see a very emotionally charged Pathan come back to form. Pathan was now on a hat-trick.Hat tricks are so much more easier to claim down the tail. First over, top three batsmen. What are the odds! No one would've really thought that Irfan would bowl out the charismatic Mohd Yousuf not even himself and not definitely the erstwhile Youhana. But bowled him out he sure did as the whole world watched in disbelief !! Tough times come and go, tough people just come, they don't go. Well done Irfan!

Piracy kills, Inspiration lives.

I believe the music & the movie industry are oxymoronic. However, the issue kicks up some moot points:

1) In some cases they make the original more famous than it ever got.
2) Yet at other times, unknown originals are never given due credit.
3) Or they just kill the creativity of the industry.

aankhen - the eyes

Made a trip to the eye doc today to check if my astigmatic eye defect was still there. Too many gadgets and too many readings to compare drove the poor optometrist crazy. Apparently the computerised reading said I had astig .. while the manual reading, ( where they place glasses on your nose and drop in lenses in its slot ) said short sight. They made me read the different sized letters a couple of times and just as I was wondering that going through them another time is a test of memory and not eye sight, she changed them to Tamil letters ( Innovative !) A couple of you might agree with me when I say the worst has to be when in the end they place a lens that you can finally read with and then they replace it with another one and ask you, "Is this better or the previous one?". !!!! Which one do I chose? With both I can just about read the last line and living with the wrong power can screw up your eye sight. I made a random choice which I think added to her confusion.

Took a few more computerised tests, which were actually quite interesting. One of them had separate images of a lion and a cage. turning a few knobs I had to cage the lion. Separate images of coconut trees, and a kid standing to the left of one and another kid standing on the right of the other had to be merged into one as well.

All in all, 'eyes' swear it wasn't an easy job.

PS: About the Heading. I'm hoping Bollywood would run into this and take the cue that multi lingual titles are not as good as they thought they were.
