Is the pen mightier than the pencil?

I know I'm thinking too hard when I wonder,

If, the pen is mightier than the pencil? -
Since when writing with a pencil, the thought flow is not constrained as words can be erased much easier than with a pen.

That, all earning more money gives you is the choice to buy something else.

That, after the 80s, movie love songs like Ghazab Ka yeh Din and Ninukori Varanam don't get made.
There are just sad love songs or one's where the protagonists are mere fashion props.
